Onsite project monitoring of IIMDRGS, NARP DOA and NUS projects of Palmyrah Research Institute, Jaffna, Regional Agriculture Research and Development Centre, Kilinochchi, and Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna

Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy (SLCARP) conducted a two-day onsite monitoring program at the Palmyrah Research Institute, Jaffna, Regional Agriculture Research and Development Centre, Kilinochchi, and Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna, on 27th and 28th July 2026. This visit was part of the annual onsite research project monitoring program carried out across granted researches for scientist in the National University System (NUS) and National Agricultural Research System (NARS).

During the visit, the monitoring team evaluated the progress of three (03) ongoing research projects covering the areas of Post harvest and Food technology, Plant breeding and Plant protection. The projects monitored are listed below:
