Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy (SLCARP) successfully conducted the Annual Training Program on Information for Agricultural Research Managers (INFORM) – 2025. This program is a key annual event aimed at enhancing the capacity of INFORM Coordinators from institutions under the National Agricultural Research System (NARS) in effectively managing agricultural research information and data.

This year’s program was conducted in two sessions:

• 05^th and 06^th August 2025 – Sessions for institutions under the Department of Agriculture (DOA).
• 11^th and 12^th August 2025 – Sessions for Plantation Sector Research Institutes.

Dr. S. M. P. C. Padmini, Deputy Director (Research Management), SLCARP welcome all the participants and explained the objective of this training program. The training sessions were conducted by Dr. Padmini Girihagama, Former Deputy Director (Research Management) at SLCARP, and provided theoretical and practical guidance on collecting data, maintaining and updating the INFORM database.

By the end of the training, participants submitted the completed INFORM 2024 databases ensuring more accurate, accessible, and timely agricultural research information to support decision-making and policy formulation.
