NATIONAL Committee on International MEMORANDUM of Understanding

One of our mandated functions is to promote development and co-operation in the field of agriculture through bilateral agreements between SLCARP and reputed Institutes conducting agriculture R&D with the objective of increasing production and strengthening research skills of the scientific community, especially in those areas where there is a dearth of trained scientists

SLCARP had signed several MoAs and MoUs with countries such as India, Bangaladesh , Malaysia, Pakistan, Nepal , Indonesia, and Vietnam, to implement activities of common interest and mutual benefits to both parties on Scientific and postgradate trainings have been arranged for the researchers of the NARS.

In addition, SLCARP being a member of APAARI

has developed links to promote inter-regional and inter-institutional cooperation within the Asia-Pacific region for development of NARS in the country providing opportunities for technology and information sharing through APAARI.

Further as Sri Lanka too is keen on ensuring food security for Sri Lanka following the smart agriculture concept with the main limitation of climate change there are lessons and success stories which Sri Lanka can learn from other nations. Thus, SLCARP is keen on establishing stronger bilateral cooperations with similar Councils.
