  1.  Information Management Unit  disseminates scientific information to  NARS.

  2. Provide  data  bases and information packages to stakeholders,
  3. Assist  scientists to search  and acquire existing data and information (Library and documentation service),
  4. Assist stakeholders  in database  management,
  5. Introduce new information technologies  to the NARS

CARP Agricultural Database System

The Agricultural Database System (CARP- ADS) provides  information and database products tailor-made to  meet the  needs of the  agricultural research community in Sri Lanka.  To enhance the usefulness of these products, spatial and non-spatial databases may be integrated, linked or joined.  The idea is to provide researchers with essential know-how and data in one place and in appropriate form.

·        Digital base maps

·        Image data

·        Agro-ecological maps
